6 months.
Jackson is officially half way to one year. My, my how time flies! When Jackson was just a newborn I remember seeing older babies and thinking, "Man, they are not nearly as cute as little newborns!" And now I can't imagine how I thought that! Jackson is so much more fun, expressive, active and talkative. I do miss all the cuddling and snuggling, but it's worth the smiles, laughs and curiosity.
His new stats:
Weight: 14 lbs. 9 oz. (5th percentile) He's such a little tyke.
Length: 25.75 in. (20th percentile)
Weight and Length percentile: 10th
Some cool things that Jackson is doing these days...
1. He's into a great routine! He takes 3 naps relatively consistently. Two great morning and early afternoon naps that are usually 2 hours and then an early evening nap that is usually about an hour. He sleeps ten hours almost every night. Makes momma and Jack happy :)
2. He is sitting up like an all-star.
3. He is really close to crawling. He will get up onto all fours and he can scoot himself backwards. He can get to anything he wants to, but it just takes him a while.
4. Making noise with his toys is his new favorite thing. He will bang his toys on the table or ground. In fact, the other day he wacked Grandma Woods in the face with a spoon that he was banging on the table!
5. People are still his favorite thing to watch.
6. He LOVES his food. Any fruit he loves. Vegetables are another story. So far we've got him to tolerate sweet potatoes and squash. Still working on anything green :)
7. He likes to grab the spoon and do it himself sometimes.
8. Walking around or being outside are some of his favorite things.
9. We went swimming a few days ago and he was so fascinated by the water.
10. He loves to flip onto his tummy while we are changing his diaper...sometimes if he has a toy, he does better :)
11. He is a grabber. I have to be careful when I'm shopping because he's been known to grab things!
12. He's still ticklish...and I love it :)
13. He really is so happy. He laughs and smiles at everyone and loves to play.
These photos are from our first "official" photo shoot with Jackson. I'm so grateful we did it because I love them!
I love our little guy and the joy that he brings to us. Being a mom has opened my eyes and my heart to the love that Heavenly Father has for his children. I love it!

Before I know it he'll be driving our car and getting all embarrassed by my kisses. Sigh.

The Graduate.
Okay, so he's no Dustin Hoffman, but...
He did it! Chuck graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's in Public Relations and minors in International Development and Music.

WOO HOO!!
He done did it.
Grandpa worked his magic skills and got Jack to sleep during convocation.
Dance party in the hotel room!
Our last few days in Provo were fast, but unforgettable. We will miss the beautiful mountains and our wonderful friends. Thanks for a great six years, Provo!

The turtle look: Checkin' out his hanging chimes.
1. He can flip from his back to his tummy within seconds. He loves his new trick but gets frustrated that he can't turn back.
2. He first learned how to turn over from his tummy to his back, but now he only turns from his back to his stomach.
3. He sure does love to chat it up with anyone and everyone.
4. He is super friendly. On his flights back to Kentucky he grinned at everyone that would talk to him.
5. He likes to sleep on his tummy now. We put him down on his back and he flips himself over on his tummy and scoots his head into the corner of the crib and sticks his bum up in the air. Logically.
6. He is eating baby food at least twice a day now! He wasn't loving it about a month ago, but Grandma Woods got him some bananas and BOY did he go to town.
7. He has decided that sleeping through the night is for sissies. He likes to wake up at least once to eat now. Luckily he tends to sleep for ten hours with that one feeding in between.
8. He has an adorable concentration face. When he is trying to reach for a toy that is just out of his reach, he puckers his lips and furrows his brows and focuses for several minutes, usually until he gets the toy.
9. He loves to play with his toys.
10. He is a normally a pretty content and happy little guy.
11. He LOVES to drink out of big people cups. Grandpa Krebs let him try some of his water from a cup and he fell in love. He loves it when we let him chew on our cups, especially when we let him hold the cup all on his own :)
12. He has more hair now! Okay, barely, but at least it's coming in.
13. He doesn't quite sit up on his own yet, but he can do it almost by himself.
14. He has figured out that if he pushes his hips out it's harder for us to strap him into the carseat.
15. He likes to chew on wood. Chairs. Coffee table. Church pew. And if wood isn't available: burp rags, fingers, toes, toys, cups, our faces, other people's faces, anything.
16. Drool. Enough said.
17. He likes to practice his planks when we change his diaper. So when we pull up his feet to wipe his bum, he flips over.
18. His crying has been compared to: a baby cougar (Aunt Tammy) and the screeching eels from The Princess Bride (Grandma Krebs).
19. He is pretty resilient. He has fallen off the couch, rolled off the ottoman, bonked his head on the coffee table, woken up with strange indentions on his head from his nap and now has a fungus infection on his back. Poor little guy.
20. He is quite a curious fellow. He loves to look around and explore.

I knew I wanted to get some Easter pictures of the whole family and the weather was perfect for it! We set up the tripod outside our old brick house and caught a few shots after church.

Happy Easter!
March is my favorite time of year.
We are a born and raised, rain or snow, bleed blue UK Wildcat family. So, logically, March Madness is some of the best entertainment of the year. Especially when the UK Wildcats become 8-time National Champions!! Welcome to a year of bragging rights.
Jackson has cheered for a lot of different teams this season...
But, Jack knows where the money's at.
We are so proud of our Wildcats and loved ringing in the championship with lots of friends from Kentucky and those we have convinced of their greatness over the years :) We all got together in the Kimball tower on Campus and watched the game on the projector while eating pizza, chips and cookies!
Needless to say, this little tyke, although he was born in Utah, has been and will always be a UK Wildcat fan at heart. GO CATS!
