3 whole months.

I can't believe it. Jackson is 3 months old as of yesterday, February 24, 2011. Where has the time gone?
I just thought all of these were too cute.

He sure does love his daddy.
Some awesome things that Jackson is doing these days:

1. He grins and giggles when we smile at him.
2. When he wakes up in the morning he gets SO happy to see us - melts my little heart.
3. He has started to grab at things, like the books we read him, his burp rag, mom's shirt, mom's hair...
4. He has started to dislike his nursing cover...uh oh.
5. Still not a fan of tummy time, but at least he appeases me for four or five minutes at a time.
6. Weighs almost thirteen pounds :)
7. Has officially graduated to three month clothes.
8. When he is sleepy he rubs his eyes.
9. He LOVES Dad - always smiles and giggles at him when he comes home.
10. He really looks at the books that we read him.
11. Whenever we stand in front of the mirror his eyes get really big and then he grins at himself.
12. He doesn't love car rides so much anymore.
13. His favorite book is "On the Farm." Probably because we get to make all the farm animal noises :)
14. He can interact with family on skype now.
15. He intentionally holds our hands - at least I like to think it's intentional :)
16. He can stand up mostly on his own - we hold his hands or he hangs on to my shirt.
17. His favorite way to be held is facing out - he loves to look at the world.

He is so much fun. I love that he can interact with us more now. I feel like we are able to understand better how he is feeling and guess at what he thinks :)

This past week on President's day we had a reunion with our HELP volunteers (so much fun - will post later about it). On Sunday we were at a volunteer's house for dinner and Jackson was really fussy and coughing. He is usually a little fussy in big crowds (like his momma), but after we got home he threw up everything in his stomach and then hardly slept that night - he was inconsolably crying. So, in the morning, we took him to the doctor and he has Bronchilitis (RSV) and an ear infection : ( Poor little guy has been pretty sick with a cough, a little fever, and a stuffy nose. He's been a trooper though. Sick babies are such a sad sight : ( Breaks my heart. He is almost better though.

"What in the world?"
He is such a miracle - we love him so much.

Happy Love Day.

Chef's Table. Also known as the best restaurant ever.
Valentine's Day(s) was awesome. Chuck surprised me on Monday, the 13th with a vase of roses and a card when I woke up. The card was asking me to go to dinner with him that evening. It was really cute :) Then later on in the day, he sent me a romantic and only slightly cheesy e-card telling me that I had a massage scheduled at 4:30pm that day before dinner! Do I have an awesome husband? (The answer is yes.)

We went to Chef's Table (if you are ever in Utah Valley, I highly recommend it--best meal I have ever had...really). DELICIOUS. Nicole and David were kind enough to babysit little Jackson for us while we went to dinner. While we were there we both joked about something Jackson does. Chuck said, "Man, I already miss him." Now I know why parents are always paranoid about leaving their kids and always take forever to get out of the house. We are those parents now...weird.

Sorry for the lame phone picture...we forgot the camera.
It was an awesome day :)

The next day I cleaned up the house and made a roast for a nice dinner at home. I even got out the place mats and real napkins. Fancy, I know. And I went all out for dessert: vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. In my defense, it's one of Chuck's favorites (Lucky for me, he is pretty easy to please). I had started a "love week" since the previous tuesday writing notes to him and leaving them around the house. Some had date ideas that we did that night, some had money to buy his favorite treats, some had coupons to get out of chores. I also made a shutterfly book of Jackson. It's kind of a selfish gift because I love it too :)

All in all it was a great Love day for the Krebs family. It helps when you have such a loving husband :)

Besties.

We are starting to realize that Chuck's graduation is a mere two months away. We are unsure of where our path may lead, except that it will probably lead us out of Utah. While we are excited for the new changes that are headed our way, we will miss all the wonderful friends that we've made out here. Who are these awesome friends, might you ask?
David and Nicole Ellis. They are some pretty awesome people. So awesome, in fact, that we spend entire weekends together.

Thursday, Feb. 2:

We invited David and Nicole over to watch the BYU vs. Gonzaga game on our BIG screen TV (okay, it's 32 in., but it's HUGE in our apartment). BYU ended up winning, woo hoo!!

Friday, Feb. 3:

Utah Gymnastics (#1 in the nation) faced off against Georgia (ranked #4) at the Huntsman Center in SLC on Friday night. I LOVE watching Gymnastics and talked Chuck into coming, and of course, Nicole and David.
This place was packed. They sure do love their gymnastics at the U of U.
It was FREEZING, so Jackson was all bundled up.
On the TRAX back from the meet.
Nicole and David with Jackson :)
Utah ended up winning, but it was a close meet. We had so much fun!

Saturday, Feb. 4:

Originally we had planned to have dinner at Nicole and David's with Austin and Camilla Boles, but the Boles had to cancel, so it was just the four of us. Nicole made some AWESOME lime chicken and sweet potato fries and we devoured cinnamon pull-aparts for dessert. We wrapped up the evening watching Moneyball. A pretty awesome night if you ask me :)

Sunday, Feb 5:

The Morins (Nicole's parents) have an open-door policy on Sundays for their children. Seeing as they sort of adopted me into their family, Chuck and I are privileged to be added to that policy list :) We made it (albeit a little late) to Sunday dinner and got to hang out with the Morin family, who we love.

So, we love Nicole and David. And all our Utah friends. Lots.
