The Graduate.

Okay, so he's no Dustin Hoffman, but...

He did it! Chuck graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's in Public Relations and minors in International Development and Music.
Loving the tassle.

so proud of his papa.
Mom and Dad Krebs as well as the new driver, little Glen, made the trek across the country to celebrate! Oh, and to help us move. The Adams came up too! We felt so special that they took the time to celebrate with us, and even more grateful that they helped us pack up our little apartment and head back to the homeland. How hard is it to pack up 300 sq. ft., really? Apparently we had accumulated MUCH more than I thought we had over the two years. Thank goodness family was there too help!

WOO HOO!!

He done did it.

Grandpa worked his magic skills and got Jack to sleep during convocation.

Dance party in the hotel room!

Our last few days in Provo were fast, but unforgettable. We will miss the beautiful mountains and our wonderful friends. Thanks for a great six years, Provo!

Glen - Mom - Dad visit Utah.

The remaining 1047 Rockbridge Road Krebs made a trip out to Utah this last weekend to attend the Utah reception of Mr. and Mrs.  Tommy Bay - we did get to play while they were in town. They landed late Friday night and Saturday morning we woke up and went to breakfast at the freshman classic, the Cannon Center.

We wanted to show Glen around campus (trying to make sure he's not the only Krebs who breaks the BYU tradition) - so we did. Mom and Dad got chocolate covered cinnamon bears at the bookstore and Momma Krebs made her traditional visit to the bottom floor of the bookstore to buy art. They even got lil' peanut a BYU shirt :).

After the campus tour we went to check out the Utah fall leaves in Provo Canyon and stopped for a quick walk to Bridal Veil Falls.

The happy couple.
Not a great picture - but the mountains and fall colors were spectacular.
Glen was showing off his pink braces (which he swears are in honor of breast cancer awareness)

Before the reception on Saturday night Dad set up a reunion with his family. Aunt Valene and two of her kids came along with their children. It was a lot of fun to reunite with family and eat some good KFC too.

I only got a couple of pictures at the reception but it was a lot of fun. There were so many friends from KY that came as well as old friends of my parents. The Ponds, Kearls, Burbanks, Madsens and many more. I wish I had gotten more pictures - sorry.

Go COUGARS!

Emily and I got the chance to go to the BYU vs. San Jose State game on Saturday night. We got the tickets through an interesting connection. I met a guy on twitter (I know... haha) who served in my ward in 2003 in KY and was also in my older Brother Jeff's ward in college. He said he had two tickets to the game that he'd give us for free. Since Em and I didn't get all-sports pass this year we had wanted to go to at least ONE game this season, but this guy (Nick Newman) lived all the way in South Jordan (45 min.) and we didn't want to use the gas to get there. We were lucky because Nicole (Em's best friend) had a brother coming to the game from Salt Lake and he picked the tickets up for us! Thanks, Clint.

BYU has had a rough season this year - we were lucky to go when they won, they lost to Utah this year 54-10. BYU beat San Jose State 29-16 in a fast first half and SLOW second half. Three passing touchdowns in the first half and none in the second. Here's a few pictures we took with our cool telephoto lens - courtesy of Sarah and Dad Woods (I brought it to see how it worked - not too shabby).

Riley Nelson started - first start of the season.
This was BYU celebrating their first touchdown of the game!
The famed Lavell Edwards Stadium - what a great place to watch football.

Nelson finds a whole - he had 65 rushing yards on the game.
We sure had a fun time :)

Hellooo Utah!

Hello beautiful mountains of Utah!

Chuck and I are pleased to announce that we have returned to our lovely basement closet in Provo after one of the most amazing/fun/difficult/crazy experiences of a lifetime. Chuck is already back in school, working at BYU Communications for an internship, serving on the PRSSA board, working in Bradley lab, serving as a Program Director for Community Outreach Day AND being an awesome husband and best friend :) Gotta say, the kid is pretty busy. Which makes my scrapbooking, buying groceries, learning new recipes, sketching, cleaning, watching movies, reading books I've always wanted to read life look a little puny. But hey, to each his own :)

I wanted to post a few pictures from this summer about our fabulous experiences, but since it was such a packed summer, it'll come in installments (hopefully. Keep your fingers crossed that I remember that we even have a blog).

So, as they say, we'll begin at the beginning :)

Approximately a week and a half before we left for Fiji, we found out that we were expecting! Even with all the awesome things that have happened in the past five months, this news is hands down the most exciting/fun/scary/happy/nerve-racking/blessed/joyous that we have to share :)

Five days before we left for Fiji, I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in English. Yay for school! Look for more updates soon when I can figure out this whole photo uploading business :)

The joys of 5th year coaching...

Okay, so I'm sitting in the the HFAC waiting for Chuck to finish with his barbershop rehearsal...and all I can think about is the marvelous surprise that made my day phenomenal. So, I was walking over to the RB to see Chuck in his diving class when I saw an old teammate. She gladly informed me that I had an entire stack of "issue" clothes and shoes in the Women's collegiate locker room.

"WHA???" That was exactly the noise that came out of my mouth. Who knew that 5th year seniors who've lost all their muscle and can't even do their sport remotely well anymore got issue clothes to make everyone THINK they're still good at sports?? Well, it's true. And it made my day to know that I'm now three workout shirts, a sports bra, a pair of sweat pants, a sweater, a pair of hot kicks, a pair of sandals, and a sweet BYU backpack richer :)

Yay for Nike sponsored sports teams who give out sweet gear to old foggies like me :)

Saturday Off :)

We both got the Saturday off from work! Woo Hoo! It's a pretty exciting thing for us since we usually leave each other around noon and I get home from work at 10:30pm :)

So, what's new?

To be honest, nothing really.  We're taking a family history class together and have had some pretty exciting experiences coming to know our ancestors.  We're excited to figure out more! Chuck even stayed up until 4am last night researching my Dad's side of the family :)  That's our really exciting news :)
Other than that, I thought I would post some fun pictures of right before the wedding.  I was looking through wedding pictures today, so maybe I'm just being "all sentimental" like Chuck said, but here they are anyway :)
Got the Marriage License!
My besties getting toes done with me the Friday before the wedding :)

Can I just say that the Krebs family and Julie Nichols are amazing for working so hard on these AWESOME cupcakes for the wedding?

Thanks for all the help!!

Chuck being all cute and playing with all the little ones at the BBQ at Dad's on Friday Night :)

My momma=one of the most amazing people in the world.

Last photo as a single gal...yikes! ;)

We're MARRIED! Now, that's just crazy :)

We love you all and hope everyone is having a fabulous beginning of fall!

September already?

How come it is already September and feeling like fall outside?  How did I miss the end of summer?? Oh right, school.

Anywho!  Just thought we'd post a little update because, let's face it, we haven't been so hot at blogging lately.

Cool things that have happened this month:

  1. 1. Chuck and I applied for a grant for the service project that we do with BYU on MLK Day and GOT it!
  2. I applied to the University of Utah PA program.
  3. We went diving together at free swim to practice for Chuck's diving class :)
  4. We got free dinner and frostys at Wendy's thanks to Dad for our Wendy's giftcard. YUM.
  5. We had an awesome Regional Stake Conference and got to hear from some apostles of the Lord.
  6. We tried out our awesome dipping chocolates that Mom and Dad Krebs got us for my birthday gift :)
  7. We used our Kitchen Aid for the first time (Thanks, mom!!) and made awesome rolls that Sister Morin taught me how to make :)
  8. I rocked my Functional Anatomy lab exam. SHEW.
  9. I bought all of our produce for the past two weeks for a grand total of $3.72. Thank you Buy-Low for living up to your name.
  10. I'm married to my bestest friend.  Can life get any better??

Life has been super fun--School and work are only getting in our way marginally.  Homework Shmomework ; )
