Blessed.

Thanks to Mom and Dad Krebs for Jackson's adorable blessing outfit!
On Christmas Day, Jackson Andrew Krebs was given a blessing by his proud Papa. It was such a sweet and happy occasion and we are so grateful for our families for taking time to be there, especially on Christmas morning. I'm especially grateful for the Parker family who came to the blessing and their sweet little kids, David and Olivia, who were excited to be there even though they had presents waiting to be opened at home! Jackson sure does have some awesome relatives who care so much about him.

Our happy little family :)

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we give a baby blessing to little children. The blessing is performed by worthy priesthood holders. The father usually pronounces the blessing. It includes the naming of the child as well as a blessing. This blessing, along with all other blessings that can be given in the church, are given through the power and authority of the priesthood allowing them to be a mouthpiece of God. I'm so grateful that Chuck is a worthy priesthood holder and that he is capable of calling on God to bless our family. Through Chuck, Heavenly Father blessed little Jackson with health, integrity and joy. He was also blessed to be a peacemaker in our home and be a good example to the rest of his siblings yet to come. What a wonder this gospel is. I'm so grateful for the chance to raise up Jackson with the knowledge that he has a Father in Heaven who loves him and cares about him.

Christmas Time.

I know, I'm a little behind. But I at least wanted to post some pictures from our wonderful break in Kentucky and South Carolina. Thanks to all of our wonderful family who made the trip TOTALLY worth it.

We absolutely LOVED getting to be with family over the break. I'm so grateful that we were able to make it back home for the holidays :)

We bleed blue.

In Lexington, Kentucky you're either a Wildcat fan or you keep your mouth shut. Luckily, Chuck and I both grew up in families who are the former :) By age seven we were watching the games and by age ten we could rattle off the Wildcat Basketball starting line-up.

Chuck Krebs as a little guy sporting his UK gear :)

The 1998 National Championship game was one of the highlights of my childhood. Ask Chuck any question about Kentucky basketball and he probably knows the answer or can find it in under a minute. If there's a game on, we're either watching it or religiously checking the score. So, as you can see, our families have passed on their love for UK ball to us :)

The only use for our computer during March Madness.
On that note, we are SUPER excited for our wildcats this year and for their explosive start against Marist and Kansas! Woo Hoo!

There really is nothing like being a Kentucky Wildcat fan.

The Wedding and Reception :)

Well - on Thursday morning Em and I took the red-eye to Kentucky for my big sister Laura's wedding! The trip was incredibly refreshing however the flight was horrible. Remember to never book a red-eye flight so you can spend more time with your family - just miss more school and get sleep in a bed, not a plane.

We'll blog about our Thanksgiving (we celebrated some holidays out of order this year) festivities with the Bay/Krebs bunch, we just wanted to get some pictures up from the festivities. Friday night was the reception and Saturday morning was the wedding. It was a great time with family - we just wish we could have gotten there a little earlier to enjoy Christmas, Halloween and Independence day with the grandkids!

Coming out of the temple - a beautiful ceremony :)
